Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Greenwood, Indiana seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budgetary, people development, and operational objectives at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach for performance, and cultivate leadership strength while driving results across the facility.

The role requires strategic leadership, safety and quality focus, and the ability to balance operational excellence with team development in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work overnight, weekends and holidays.
• MBA preferred for advanced leadership/strategy roles.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and Lean initiatives to boost efficiency.
• Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and accountability.
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing ideas and turning them into improvement plans.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts, and the network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or related field
