Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives at the site. You will coach and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality and customer experience across inbound or outbound operations.

The role requires 7+ years of direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution, and a strong background in staffing lifecycle and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed the business plan.
• Responsible for overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages the Ops and Area Managers to source and implement improvement plans.
• Share best practices across departments, shifts and network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
