Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager for its West Columbia, SC Fulfillment Center.

The role leads a multi-site operations team, drives Lean and process improvements, ensures safety and customer experience, and partners with HR, Finance and Facilities to secure resources and develop leadership bench strength. Responsibilities include setting expectations for Operations and Area Managers, coaching for performance, and disseminating best practices across shifts and departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle including interviews, hiring and performance management.
• Experience with metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drive Lean and process-improvement initiatives to meet business plans.
• Oversee safety, quality, performance and customer experience of inbound/outbound operations.
• Set expectations for Ops and Area Managers; measure performance and provide feedback.
• Leverage managers to source ideas and create improvement plans.
• Share best practices across departments and shifts.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects.
