Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager for the West Columbia Fulfillment Center to lead a large team and drive budgetary, people development and operations objectives.

You will manage Operations and Area Managers, coach staff, ensure safety, quality and customer experience, and partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT to secure resources. This role demands strategic leadership across inbound/outbound flows and continuous Lean improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drives quality initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet the business plan.
• Responsible for the safety, quality and performance and customer experience of inbound or outbound operations.
• Sets clear requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and holds teams accountable.
• Leverages teams to generate ideas and create improvement plans for the functional area.
• Ensures best practices are shared across departments, shifts and network.
