Amazon.com Services LLC in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead a site's operations, budget, and people development, overseeing an Operations and Area Management team.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, customer experience, Lean initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT to drive performance and career development across FCs nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field and MBA preferred.
• Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
• Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs across the nation.

Responsabilités

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and the FC to meet and exceed business plan.
• Responsible for safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and holds managers accountable.
• Leverages the Ops Managers by sourcing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans.
• Share best practices across all departments, shifts and the network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers for resources and support.
