Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead site-wide operations, budgetary controls, and team development. You will coach and mentor Operations and Area Managers to achieve performance objectives and maintain strong employee relations.

You will drive Lean initiatives, improve safety and quality, and collaborate with HR, Finance and Facilities to secure resources for strategic projects across the fulfillment center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of direct management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle, performance management, and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet the FC's business plan.
• Responsible for safety, quality and performance and customer experience of Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set clear requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance and accountability.
• Leverages the Managers by sourcing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans for the area.
• Ensure best practices are shared across departments, shifts and the network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
