Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to lead a team of Operations and Area Managers within the Fulfillment Center, driving budgetary and people development objectives.

You will implement Lean initiatives, ensure safety, quality and customer experience, and collaborate with HR, Finance and Facilities to secure resources for ongoing projects and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to enable their area and FC to meet business plan.
• Responsible for overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance.
• Leverages the team by sourcing ideas and rolling them into improvement plans; shares best practices across departments.
• Works with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
