Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to lead and develop a large operations team across inbound/outbound processes. You will drive quality initiatives, Lean improvements, and safety, while aligning with business objectives and customer experiences.

You will mentor Operations and Area Managers, balance operational excellence with people development, and coordinate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT to secure resources for strategic programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable the FC to meet and exceed business plan.
• Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into improvement plans for the functional area.
• Takes proactive steps to share best practices across departments, shifts and network.
