Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager at an Amazon FC in Georgia to lead budget, people development and operational goals.

You will manage Operations and Area Managers, coach teams, and drive performance across inbound or outbound functions while maintaining positive employee relations and leadership depth. You will implement Lean initiatives, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities and IT to secure resources for strategic projects and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience with contingent workforce during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Drives quality initiatives, process changes and Lean projects to meet/exceed business plans.
• Oversees safety, quality and customer experience for Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Leverages Ops and Area Managers to generate improvement plans and ideas.
• Shares best practices across departments, shifts, and network.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and others to secure resources.
