Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to oversee budget, people development, and operations at the Fulfillment Center in Georgia.

You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching them to meet performance objectives while maintaining positive employee relations. The role requires a strategic leader who balances operational excellence with team growth, driving results across all areas of the facility and partnering with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback
• Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and creating improvement plans
• Ensures best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the network
• Works with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects and initiatives.
