Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize transportation costs and ensure financial accuracy across its medical supply chain. You will manage freight invoice audits and payments using third-party and in-house systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will develop SOPs, resolve disputes, analyze KPIs, mentor staff, and drive process improvements to achieve cost savings and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years in freight audit, transportation finance, or AP in high-volume environment.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP and freight audit systems.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and refine SOPs for freight auditing, queue management, and invoice aging resolution.
• Ensure accurate freight audit in systems and follow audit standards; collaborate on logic changes.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and balance-due issues with carriers and internal teams.
• Generate KPI reports on audit and payment activity; support month-end close.
• Lead resolution of carrier invoice disputes per terms and audit findings.
• Provide training on invoicing procedures to carriers.
• Monitor and manage payment system queues; resolve invoices in error status with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor team members on freight audit and payment policies and system use.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements for efficiency.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives in transportation spend.
