Cardinal Health is hiring a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize freight costs and maintain financial integrity across its medical supply chain. The role focuses on auditing freight invoices, ensuring timely payments, and driving continuous improvement with multiple internal teams.

You will develop SOPs, monitor KPI reports, resolve complex billing issues, and mentor junior staff while supporting strategic transportation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in Freight Audit, Transportation and Logistics Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar role within a high-volume environment preferred.
• Experience working in ERPs (SAP, Oracle), TMS platforms, or freight audit systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and refine SOPs for freight auditing, queue management, and invoice aging resolution.
• Ensure accurate freight audit and ledger coding; resolve complex billing discrepancies and balance due issues.
• Generate KPI reports on audit and payment activity and support month-end close.
• Manage carrier invoice disputes based on audit findings and contract terms.
• Serve as primary point of contact for carriers and train on invoicing procedures.
• Monitor payment system queues and resolve invoices in error status with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and train team on freight audit policies, procedures, and system use.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements and lead cost-saving initiatives.
• Lead and participate in cost savings projects.
• Monitor and report KPIs to ensure goals and strategic improvements.
