Job summary

Apptronik in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and build the electronics for Apollo's sensor bridge. You will own defined subsystems from schematic capture to RTL blocks, collaborating with the perception team to enable safe, scalable robotics.

Candidates should have FPGA experience, high-speed interfaces, and hands-on debugging. You will work with senior staff to ensure timing, power, and manufacturability while contributing to board-level validation and bring-up.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA hardware design for time-sensitive, high-performance applications.
• RTL development in VHDL/Verilog and integration of high-speed interfaces.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity and timing analysis across boards.

Responsibilities

• Own subsystems from schematic capture to RTL implementation for a multi-Gbps PCBA.
• Develop and validate high-speed interfaces (CSI-2, Ethernet, PCIe) with SI considerations.
• Perform debugging across hardware and RTL boundaries and document results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
