Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and build the electronics for Apollo's sensor bridge. You will own subsystems, perform schematic capture, layout guidance, and RTL blocks for a multi-Gbps PCBA, collaborating with the perception team to enable safety functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA hardware design for time-sensitive, high-performance applications.
• Experience with camera/image sensor hardware (CSI-2, SerDes, ISP integration).
• Understanding of high-speed digital design fundamentals and timing analysis.
• Excellent communication and debugging skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Own schematic capture, layout guidance, and RTL implementation for subsystems of a multi-Gbps PCBA.
• Design and validate high-speed interfaces (CSI-2, GMSL/SerDes, Ethernet, PCIe).
• Develop RTL (VHDL/Verilog) for camera synchronization, timestamping, and data handling.
• Develop validation plans and build test fixtures with lab equipment.
• Support vendor alignment and production scaling; mentor junior engineers.
