Job summary

Apptronik, a human-centered robotics company in Austin, TX, seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to architect the electronics for Apollo’s sensor bridge. You will own the full FPGA stack from requirements to production, partnering with the perception team to enable Apollo sight and safety functions.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with FPGA hardware design for time-sensitive, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements definition, architecture, RTL for sensor bridge end-to-end.
• Design and validate high-speed digital interfaces and power sequencing.
• Define FPGA device selection and RTL architecture; develop RTL (VHDL/Verilog).
• Validate with lab equipment; drive debugging and root-cause analysis across hardware/RTL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
