Job summary

Apptronik in Austin, TX seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to architect the electronics for Apollo's sensor bridge. You will own architecture, RTL, and validation across PCBA and FPGA, collaborating with perception and manufacturing to ensure reliable, scalable hardware.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in electrical engineering, deep FPGA experience, and strong leadership to mentor teammates and drive cross-functional programs from concept through production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Strong FPGA hardware design experience for high-performance imaging/ data acquisition.
  • Proven ability to lead hardware projects and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own requirements, architecture, RTL, and validation for the sensor bridge.
  • Design high-speed interfaces and power sequencing with EMC/thermal considerations.
  • Lead FPGA device selection, timing closure, and cross-domain synchronization.
  • Develop test plans, fixtures, and documentation for production release.
  • Mentor junior engineers and align stakeholders on hardware design decisions.
