Job summary

Apptronik, a human-centered robotics company, seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to architect the electronics for Apollo’s sensor bridge. You’ll own the full electrical and FPGA stack from requirements to production, collaborating with perception teams to enable safe, reliable sensing and robotics vision.

Strong candidates will have FPGA hardware experience, RTL in VHDL/Verilog, and a track record delivering high-speed interfaces, timing closure, and DFx with production handoff.

Qualifications

• Expert in FPGA device selection and RTL architecture (VHDL/Verilog).
• Experience with CSI-2, GMSL, PCIe, and 10GbE high-speed interfaces.
• Strong signal integrity, timing closure, and PCB layout guidance.
• Proven track record delivering hardware from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Own electronics and FPGA architecture from concept to production.
• Design high-speed digital interfaces and power sequencing.
• Define FPGA devices and RTL for sensor bridge nodes.
• Validate with test fixtures and lab equipment for latency and bandwidth.
• Lifecycle management with vendors and contract manufacturers.
• Mentor and collaborate with cross-functional teams across hardware and software.
• Drive project execution and perform root-cause analysis.
