Job summary

CesiumAstro in Westminster, CO, seeks a Senior Staff FPGA Engineer to lead FPGA design for space-grade systems. You will drive architecture, verification, and deployment of high-speed interfaces across multiple clocks and domains while collaborating with system engineers, hardware designers, and software teams.

You bring 12+ years in FPGA design (HDL), proficiency in VHDL/Verilog, and experience with radiation-tolerant devices and space environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of FPGA design experience.
• Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Familiarity with radiation-tolerant FPGA devices and space-grade constraints.
• Experience with HDL-based verification and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA design and verification for space-based programs.
• Define FPGA architecture with cross-functional teams.
• Develop architecture to optimize power and performance.
• Present design reviews to customers and leadership.
• Mentor junior designers and drive quality improvements.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies for space applications.
