Job summary

Medtronic, based at the Operational HQ in Minneapolis, Minnesota, seeks a seasoned Financial Consultant to lead FP&A for Portfolio+. You will drive forecasting, reporting, and performance management, partnering with OU Finance, Strategy, and cross‑functional teams to deliver actionable insights.

You will own the FP&A calendar, coordinate executive deliverables, and influence portfolio‑level decisions, with limited travel and US‑based responsibilities, in a global healthcare technology leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of Finance or Accounting experience OR Advanced degree with 8+ years of Finance or Accounting experience.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and performance management.
• Experience developing executive-level financial presentations, reporting, and business insights.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to support business decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Lead core FP&A processes across Portfolio+, including forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and performance management activities.
• Lead the Latest Best Estimate (LBE) process, including consolidation, financial analysis, risk assessment, opportunity identification, and stakeholder alignment.
• Develop and coordinate Monthly Financial Review (MFR), Executive Committee (ExCom), and other executive financial deliverables.
• Analyze financial results, forecasts, and key business drivers to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance impacts.
• Manage forecast tie-outs, variance analysis, and reporting accuracy across systems and financial submissions.
• Own the Portfolio+ FP&A calendar, coordinating milestones, deadlines, inputs, reviews, and deliverables across stakeholders.
• Partner with global Operating Unit Finance and Strategy teams to align assumptions, expectations, risks, opportunities, and key financial deliverables.
• Drive process improvements through simplification, standardization, and enhanced financial reporting and analytics.
