Job summary

Medtronic plc in Fridley, Minnesota, is hiring a Senior Finance Manager for the R&D COE. The role leads global finance standards, governance, and analytics across the R&D portfolio, enabling data-driven investment decisions and enterprise value creation.

You will manage a high-performing team and collaborate with COE, R&D leaders, and CFO/FP&A. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting (MBA/CPA preferred), 7+ years in finance with 5+ years in leadership, and strong FP&A,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years) plus 5+ years of progressive leadership experience.
FP&A work experience, including expense analytics and financial planning.
Excellent written/oral communication, collaboration, change management and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and continuously improve Global R&D Finance standards (planning, forecasting, capitalization, investment metrics, reporting).
Establish governance to ensure consistency in project accounting and standard reporting.
Drive adoption of standards through documentation, training, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
Enable high-quality financial insights that connect investment, risk, progress, and outcomes across the R&D lifecycle.
