Job summary

Boston Scientific in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Associate, Portfolio Strategy to act as internal strategy consultant supporting Cardiology executive leadership. You will frame questions, evaluate growth opportunities, and translate market dynamics into strategic decisions.

You will lead high-impact initiatives across portfolio strategy, commercial excellence, and market development; integrate intelligence, data and finance to inform investment decisions and long-range planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, market intelligence, commercial strategy, marketing, finance, business analytics, or related field.
Ability to structure and solve ambiguous business problems through rigorous analysis and strategic thinking.
Experience conducting market assessments, competitive intelligence, market sizing, forecasting, financial modeling, and commercial analyses.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, executive-level recommendations.
Proven ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across highly matrixed organizations.
Strong analytical, financial, and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
Collaborative, self-directed, and intellectually curious with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Ability to travel approximately 20%.

Responsibilities

Frame complex business questions and develop recommendations for executive decisions.
Lead strategic initiatives across portfolio optimization, market expansion, innovation strategy, and long-range planning.
Translate ambiguous market dynamics into clear strategic choices by integrating competitive intelligence, customer insights, market research, financial analyses, and forecasting.
Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Clinical, R&D, Business Development, and Sales leaders to solve critical business challenges through rigorous analytics and data-driven recommendations.
Build market models, forecasts, business cases, and scenario analyses that support portfolio investments and pricing decisions.
Attend key cardiology conferences to gather competitive intelligence and translate observations into strategic recommendations.
