Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to guide a team delivering production AI solutions for public accounting firms and corporate tax departments. You will hire, develop senior engineers, and oversee rapid prototypes through multi-month implementations, balancing client outcomes with team capacity and solution quality.

You will lead staffing, forecasting, and architecture reviews, while setting standards for AI quality, risk controls and observability in regulated

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering or technical consulting experience.
• 5+ years managing engineering teams with hiring and development success.
• Experience delivering client-facing engineering delivery in consulting or services.
• Led teams shipping LLM-powered applications to production with clear tradeoffs.
• Hands-on with AI engineering practices: RAG, agents, MCP, evaluation & observability.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and establishing team workflows around them.
• Ability to address AI risks in regulated environments and communicate with execs.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop a senior engineering team of engagement leads and AI engineers.
• Own staffing, capacity planning and delivery forecasting across engagements.
• Provide technical leadership for production AI solutions and cost reviews.
• Set standards for AI quality, risk controls and testing.
• Manage delivery health, scope, risk and client satisfaction.
• Improve engineering effectiveness with AI-enabled development workflows.
• Align demand with capacity and support transitions to ongoing support.
