Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering – Tax & Audit to lead a high-impact team delivering production AI solutions for tax and audit clients. You will hire, mentor and retain senior engineers, manage staffing and delivery across rapid prototypes to long-running engagements, and provide technical judgment on RAG, agents, and tool integrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or technical consulting.
• 5+ years managing engineering teams with hiring and development.
• Led teams shipping LLM-powered production applications.
• Hands-on AI engineering practices including RAG, agentic workflows, function calling/MCP, evaluation and observability.
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop a senior engineering team across client engagements.
• Own staffing, capacity planning and delivery forecasting.
• Provide technical leadership for production AI solutions and architecture reviews.
• Set AI quality standards, risk controls and safety safeguards for regulated work.
• Own delivery health and client outcomes across engagements and escalations.
