Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide a team delivering production AI solutions for public accounting firms and corporate tax departments. You will hire, mentor senior engineers, and ensure successful engagements from rapid prototypes to multi-month implementations.

You will own staffing, capacity planning, architecture reviews, and risk controls while aligning with business and platform leaders to meet client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering or tech consulting with 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience delivering client-facing engineering in consulting or professional services.
• Led teams shipping production LLM-powered applications with clear architectural choices.
• Hands-on with AI engineering practices: RAG, agentic workflows, MCP, observability.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and establishing team workflows around them.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a senior engineering team across client engagements.
• Plan staffing, capacity, and delivery forecasts to meet demand.
• Provide technical leadership for production AI solutions and cost reviews.
• Set standards for AI quality, risk controls, and testing pipelines.
• Own delivery health and client outcomes across engagements.
• Embed AI tooling to improve development workflows and automation.
• Collaborate with business, product, consulting and platform leaders on demand vs capacity.
