Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Forward Deployed Engineering for Tax & Audit. This hybrid role oversees engineering teams delivering production AI solutions for public accounting firms and corporate tax departments.

You will hire, coach and align teams to client engagements, balancing rapid prototypes with long-running multi-month AI implementations. You will guide architecture, scope, cost estimates and risk management, ensuring high-quality, compliant AI systems while

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering or technical consulting experience, including 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Experience delivering client-facing engineering projects in a consulting or professional services setting.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered production applications and explaining tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and develop a senior engineering team across client engagements.
• Own staffing, capacity planning and delivery forecasting to meet client demand.
• Provide technical leadership for production AI solutions including RAG, agents and tool integrations.
• Set standards for AI quality, evaluation, risk controls and audit trails in regulated environments.
• Own delivery health and client outcomes across engagements and manage escalations.
