Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC is seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer to expand its testifying expert team. You will lead a team of consultants, testify on civil cases including construction defect matters, and support client satisfaction and employee engagement.

The Director will develop new accounts and guide career development within the practice. Ideal candidates bring PE licensing, extensive deposition/testimony experience, and a strong track record in leadership and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience, or Master's degree and 12 years, with 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensed is required, with multiple states preferred.
• Deposition and testimony experience is required.
• Proven track record of customer relationship management and staff management and development
• Demonstrated leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Support MD in meeting defined annual budget for the practice area.
• Develop and retain/expand engagements within the practice area to achieve sales goals.
• Delegate assignments to reports, monitor progress, ensure high-quality work.
• Monitor utilization, accounts receivable, discretionary spending, and related metrics.
• Build relationships with decision makers in key accounts and cross-sell services.
• Meet or exceed defined utilization goals and revenue targets.
• Travel as necessary to support client, employee, and leadership needs.
• Lead and manage in alignment with strategic plans for the practice.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policy.
