Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC seeks a Senior Forensic Engineer to join our testifying expert team. You will testify and provide expert support on civil cases, including construction defect matters, while leading and mentoring a team of consultants.

You will work with our Managing Director to meet budgets, develop new accounts, monitor utilization, and drive client satisfaction across the practice. Some travel will be required to support engagements and leadership needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15 years of related experience or Master's with 12 years, including 7+ years in a leadership role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensed is required, with multiple states preferred.
• Previous deposition and testimony experience is required.
• Proven track record of customer relationship management and staff management and development.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support MD in meeting or exceeding defined annual budget for the practice area.
• Develop and retain new accounts and expand engagements within the practice area.
• Delegate assignments, monitor progress, and ensure high-quality work product.
• Monitor utilization, accounts receivable, and discretionary spending.
• Foster relationships with decision makers and cross-sell services.
• Travel as necessary to support client, employee, and leadership needs.
• Establish quality control of service delivery and lead in resolving challenges.
