Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mission Systems and Flight Operations Engineer to refine flight dynamics software for a large satellite constellation and lead software build automation in a cloud-based environment. You will work across spacecraft and ground systems, guiding operations, planning, and verification throughout the system life cycle.

Qualifications include a solid BS in a technical field, strong flight dynamics experience, and proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, C or C++.

Qualifications

• B.S. in CS or related technical field.
• Expertise in flight dynamics systems for fleet of space vehicles.
• Experience developing production flight dynamics software.
• Experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, C or C++.
• Experience with Agile software development processes.
• Understanding of modern software development practices.
• Knowledge of software defined networking (VPC, subnets, firewalls, VPNs).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Refine software architecture and lead flight dynamics software for a satellite management system.
• Guide development and implementation of mission operation software and ground system in AWS Cloud.
• Lead Flight Dynamics System CI, configuration management, verification and deployment.
• Assist operations in creating procedures and documentation for flight dynamics interfaces.
• Develop and integrate software components with unit and system tests.
• Manage stakeholder needs across spacecraft, ground software, operations, customers, and management.
• Support mission control software operations during training and verification activities.
• Collaborate with training team on simulations and training activities.
• Support mission operations.
