Blue Origin is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and qualify ECLSS flight software for the crewed Lunar Lander. You will own validation, verification, and interfaces with the subsystem team, ensuring rigorous testing and compliance with flight requirements.

The role requires multiple senior qualifications, including real-time embedded software and autonomy experience, with opportunities to influence mission-critical life support systems and future spaceflight programs

Qualifications

• BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience software development, verification, and validation.
• Software development skills in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and Python.
• Experience with real-time systems and embedded software.
• Experience with autonomy or controls flight software applications.
• Self-starting who thrives in a fast-paced new product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and qualification of software applications for environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS).
• Own formal validation and verification of ECLSS software applications.
• Support ECLSS model maturity, qualification, validation efforts with the ECLS subsystem team.
• Support ECLSS component testing as the flight software representative including hardware/software integration and ensuring tests meet flight software requirements.
• Support development and verification of other various crew systems on the human rated Lunar Lander.
• Maintain requirements, support architecture and interface definition for ECLSS or Crew Systems software components.
• Support internal or customer design review.
