Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a seasoned software leader to drive the development, integration, and validation of mission-critical software for the New Glenn rocket system. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative team to shape software architecture and ensure verifiable, safe flight software across the product lifecycle.

The role requires a strong background in real-time embedded systems, Python, Linux, and safety-critical verification, with opportunities to influence high-impact spaceflight programs

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience with real-time embedded systems, control systems methodologies and verification of safety-critical software.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Python and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead software integration activities for critical rocket systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Work hands-on in a hardware-in-loop environment to validate flight software.
• Design and implement verification strategies for safety-critical systems.
• Influence system-level software architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across integrated rocket systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets mission requirements.
