Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert repairs on the company’s fleet vehicles to minimize downtime and ensure safety.

Responsibilities include inspections, diagnostic work on engines, transmissions, electrical and refrigeration systems, and mentoring junior technicians; occasional supervision when managers are unavailable. CDL preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of fleet maintenance and repair experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks; high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, HVAC, and electrical systems per OEM specs.
• Document work orders and mentor junior technicians.
• May supervise in absence of Fleet Manager or Fleet Supervisors.
