Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Texas is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician to provide safe, reliable preventive maintenance and expert diagnostics for the fleet. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related equipment to minimize downtime and control costs.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems, compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations, and the ability to mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 2-year truck tech training or equivalent program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–5 years of fleet maintenance experience.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Current valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles as required by regulations.
• Perform quality maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Document all work on work orders per procedures.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I & II to support development.
