Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to provide safe, reliable servicing of the company’s vehicle fleet. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, and expert diagnosis to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex issues across engines, drivetrains, electrical, HVAC, and lift systems; performing repairs per OEM specs; and mentoring junior technicians while contributing to area safety and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck tech training or equivalent experience.
• ASE certifications, EPA 608, Brake Inspector Certification (Core & Type II) preferred.
• 5 years of fleet maintenance/repair experience or 2-year school plus 4 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Carry out annual inspections and address DVIR write ups promptly.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist Fleet Manager as needed.
• Follow documented work orders and maintain quality workmanship.
