Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert diagnostics on a range of fleet vehicles and equipment, including refrigeration units. You will follow company methods, document work, and mentor junior techs to maintain safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include inspections, complex repairs, electrical and HVAC work, and adherence to DOT and OSHA standards. The role may involve light supervisory duties when supervisors are unavailable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred, not required.
• Experience: 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE certifications, EPA 608/609.
• Expert knowledge of all DOT regulations and OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment per regulations.
• Diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer specs on engines, transmissions, HVAC, electrical, and more.
• Document all work on work orders and mentor junior technicians.
• May perform moderate supervisory roles when managers are unavailable.
• Electrical testing and refrigeration unit maintenance and repair.
