Sysco Corp. is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician Supervisor to lead preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, diagnose defects, and ensure high reliability of the vehicle fleet. The role focuses on safety, cost efficiency, and timely maintenance to minimize downtime across operations.

The position requires leadership experience, knowledge of diagnostic methods, and familiarity with refrigeration and electrical systems. CDL and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• High school diploma required.
• Current and valid driver’s license (CDL preferred, not required).
• 2-year school and 4 years of experience or 5 years in fleet maintenance and repair.
• 1-year leadership role preferred.
• Annual Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
• Brake Inspector Certification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
• ASE certifications (Preferred).
• Mobile Refrigeration (EPA 608) Type II Certification preferred.
• Mobile Air Conditioning (EPA 609) Certification preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic software for OEMs.

Responsabilités

• Performs supervisory roles when the fleet supervisors or manager is not accessible.
• Mentor, teach and share expertise with the fleet technician I and II to aid in their development to positions of greater responsibility.
• Expressed desire to advance to management positions of greater authority.
• Demonstrates clear and concise decision-making skills related to fleet repair and availability of fleet for operations teams.
• Provides clear communication and reporting to the fleet supervisor or manager on a daily basis.
• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles within planned time tolerances.
• Maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections in accordance with all federal, state and local legal and regulatory agencies.
• Address all driver vehicle inspection report write ups timely, and efficiently.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including but not limited to transport refrigeration systems, engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems, intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC and Refrigeration systems and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Follow procedures including documenting all work performed on work order using complaint, cause, and correction format.
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs.
• Operates competently within designated parameters and communicates upward before exceeding those parameters.
