Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 3-5 years maintenance experience
• Valid state Driver's License per company standards; defensive driving program
• CDL Class A preferred; Sysco certifications listed
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification; ASE preferred
• Trailer Refer (608), Cab Air (609), Air Brake certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily work and safety of associates engaged in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Handles labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Monitors work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
• Administers selection, purchase, and utilization of company assets for fleet maintenance.
• Coordinates required processes and repairs with proper departments.
• Schedules truck maintenance and repairs; ensures compliance with maintenance programs.
• Reviews fleet maintenance functions and reporting.
• Proposes efficiency ideas and cost-reduction measures and helps implement changes.
• Conducts daily audits of documentation and ensures proper installation and recordkeeping.
• Oversees parts inventory and issues purchase orders based on anticipated needs.
• Develops a fleet services budget and administers purchases of parts/tools.
• Inspects budgets and contracts with third-party vendors for efficiency.
• Ensures licensing of fleet vehicles and annual inspections.
• Stays current with manuals and advancements relevant to company vehicles.
• Keeps associates informed through regular meetings and open communication.
• Maintains ongoing interaction and morale among associates.
• Encourages ideas to improve engagement and enablement.
• Interprets and enforces Company policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with Safety to train, observe, and improve methods; investigates root causes.
• Executes staff selection, development, discipline, and performance reviews.
• Performs duties of supervised associates as needed.
• Ensures re-certifications of commercial equipment and CVOR compliance.
• Establishes compliance with all safety rules and procedures.
• Guarantees compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations.
