Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Fleet Technician to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicle operation through quality preventive maintenance and expert diagnosis and repair. The role covers inspections, complex repairs, electrical and refrigeration systems, and regulatory compliance.

You will work with various fleet equipment, mentor junior technicians, and may take on limited supervisory duties when managers are unavailable. A CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
• 2-year school plus 4 years experience OR 5 years in fleet maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, HVAC, refrigeration units, and electrical systems.
• Follow work orders and document all work performed.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I and II to develop skills and knowledge.
• May perform moderate supervisory roles when Fleet Manager/ Supervisors unavailable.
