Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Fire Protection Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Post‑Fire Safe Shutdown/Fire Protection program. Based in the Denver area with latitude for remote work where allowed, the role oversees design, compliance with NRC/NFPA and licensing commitments, and strategic initiatives to safeguard client plants.

Travel about 10% is expected. The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of fire protection experience, and strong leadership across matrixed teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (fire protection or mechanical preferred).
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of fire protection engineering experience with project leadership.
• Experience leading matrixed engineering teams and client relationships.
• Knowledge of nuclear and conventional codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of engineering projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Provide technical direction and oversight across assigned projects.
• Serve as the responsible engineering authority for Post‑Fire Safe Shutdown/Fire Protection decisions.
• Act as primary client interface for engineering execution and technical matters.
• Lead matrixed teams, staffing, and resource alignment; drive project performance.
• Promote QA processes and continuous improvement across projects.
