Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join the North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will lead large, complex projects, review life safety codes, and mentor staff while developing designs and technical reports.

Strong communication with clients and internal teams is essential for on-time delivery. Qualified candidates have 10+ years in fire protection, PE license or NICET IV, and proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Building codes and NFPA standards; UFC familiarity preferred.
• Strong experience with fire suppression and fire alarm design and commissioning.
• Ability to lead and supervise staff and manage budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex fire protection projects and coordinate with teams.
• Conduct code reviews and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Develop design concepts, diagrams, and models for projects.
• Oversee client meetings, value engineering, and cost estimating.
• Mentor staff and ensure quality control across projects.
• Contribute to business development and proposal preparation.
