Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will lead large, complex projects and guide a team through all lifecycle phases, ensuring client satisfaction and on-time delivery.

You will develop and grow the fire protection group with up-to-date engineering tools, strong supervisory capabilities, and adherence to codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) who has passed the fire protection engineering exam or NICET Level IV.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, high-complexity projects and manage team coordination.
• Conduct building, fire, and life-safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Oversee design development through sketches, models, diagrams, and drawings.
• Supervise staff and mentor to strengthen technical abilities.
• Ensure quality assurance and control on projects; develop new standards within fire engineering.
