Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join the North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will independently handle high‑complex projects and mentor staff, while advancing fire protection design, code analyses, and commissioning support.

Based in the Pacific Northwest, this role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and external consultants to deliver safe, code‑compliant building solutions. Portland/Seattle locations available under a full‑time schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or NICET Level IV certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex projects and oversee project teams.
• Conduct code reviews and fire life safety analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients.
• Engage in design development and coordination with stakeholders.
• Support business development, including proposals and client meetings.
