Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join the North America Fire Protection Engineering Team in Seattle, WA. You will lead large, high-complexity projects and mentor staff, delivering fire protection design, life safety analyses, and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Building codes and NFPA standards; UFC familiarity preferred.
• Strong fire suppression and fire alarm systems design experience.
• Proven ability to manage time, budgets, and project scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex projects and coordinate internal and external teams.
• Perform code reviews and fire/life safety analyses for projects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients.
• Guide design development through sketches, models, and drawings.
• Lead meetings with owners, consultants, and vendors.
• Participate in client meetings and value analyses; assist with cost estimates.
• Supervise staff, mentor engineers, and ensure quality control.
• Develop new fire engineering standards and specifications.
• Define project scope, budget, and design approach.
• Support business development and proposal activities.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects effectively.
