Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer in the Denver area to lead high-complexity projects within our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team. You will develop fire protection strategies, supervise staff, and ensure on-time delivery for clients. The role requires a P.E.

license, a bachelor’s in Fire Protection Engineering, and strong knowledge of NFPA standards. CFD experience and design through Revit/AutoCAD are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline; Master’s preferred but not required.
• Registered P.E. who has passed the fire protection exam.
• Strong knowledge of fire suppression and fire alarm systems; design and commissioning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, high-complexity projects and manage project teams.
• Conduct building, fire, and life-safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and internal teams.
• Oversee design development through sketches, models, diagrams and AutoCAD/Revit outputs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors; lead meetings.
• Assist with business development, proposals, and client presentations.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to staff; ensure quality assurance on projects.
