Job summary

GEODIS Senior Manager of Operations- Final Mile oversees cross-dock distribution, budgeting and P&L for regional delivery networks. You will lead daily operations, optimize damage and delays, and collaborate with customers to expand services in the area.

Leadersh ip responsibilities include managing teams, recruitment of contract carriers, and driving efficiency across materials, equipment, and staff to meet company goals. This role is based in Phoenix, AZ.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Responsibilities

• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross-dock operation
• Build and manage the annual operational budget, P&L, and labor costs
• Lead daily operations for local and regional big and bulky home delivery networks
• Reduce damage rates, missed delivery windows, and return product costs
• Resolve high-escalation customer complaints regarding damaged property or late arrivals
• Confer with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities
• Manages direct reports to include Team Assistant Manager of Operations and Terminal Manager
• Responsible for Recruitment and retention of contract carriers
