Job summary

GEODIS is seeking an Operations Supervisor for Final Mile to lead warehouse and distribution activities, including dispatcher supervision, loadout accuracy, and on-time dispatch. You will coordinate with independent contractors, manage daily routes, and maintain safety and service standards with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The role requires hands-on leadership, ability to review and improve processes, and collaboration with drivers and clients to ensure seamless delivery

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related final mile, warehouse, or distribution center experience.
• Experience with independent contractors or third-party carriers preferred.
• Experience with delivery management or routing software preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispatcher role and supervise staff.
• Manage daily loadout, staging freight, and on-time trucking dispatch.
• Lead daily stand-up with independent contractors and communicate routes and safety topics.
• Monitor dispatch operations, track routes, and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain records in the delivery management platform (e.g., DispatchTrack).
• Represent operations in the absence of senior management and ensure continuity of dock, dispatch, and customer service.
