Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Senior Manager, Operational Excellence to lead continuous improvement across Transportation Management and Final Mile. The role drives high-priority projects, builds standard work, and achieves EBIT improvements through disciplined PDCA across sites.

Field-heavy work includes on-site diagnostics, kaizen events, and coaching leadership teams to sustain gains. The role partners with Central Management and site leaders, travels up to 40%, and requires Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years in transportation/logistics ops or continuous improvement, with 3+ years leading projects in 3PL or large shipper env.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred with Finance-validated savings.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead priority improvement projects end-to-end: charter, baseline, root-cause, design, implement, benefits capture.
• Perform margin diagnostics on-site with 90-day action plans and named owners.
• Facilitate kaizen events and problem-solving across sites and operations centers.
• Target key cost drivers: transportation, final mile, labor productivity, and billing leakage.
• Build and maintain divisional improvement pipeline and monthly leadership reviews.
• Own benefits tracking with Finance; ensure savings translate to P&L.
• Provide standardized cost models for pricing new business.
• Deploy standard work and visual management; build site scorecards.
• Collaborate with IT/Engineering to embed improvements in systems and workflows.
• Coach site leaders in structured problem-solving and daily management.
