Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking an experienced Field Operations Technician to support restoration, maintenance, and installation of telecom networks across North America. You will install, repair, configure, and test MACD on Nokia, Infinera, Ciena, and related equipment, including OTDR testing.

The role emphasizes client trust and exemplary customer service, with on-site work, travel, and adherence to safety standards in all tasks.

Qualifications

Five or more years in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, or cabling.
Positive attitude and customer-focused approach for handling challenging situations with integrity and empathy.
Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working in the field independently in a dynamic environment.
Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client.
Resolve customer issues calmly using de-escalation techniques.
Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment.
Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
