Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States seeks a Field Service Technician to upgrade and troubleshoot ASTRO systems on-site and remotely. You will apply networking, cybersecurity, and AD skills to support complex communications deployments across federal-related environments.

We require 2+ years in IT or field service, U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain clearance, and willingness to travel up to 75–80%.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• 2+ years of IT, networking, field service, or related experience.
• Experience with Motorola ASTRO or similar radio/communications systems a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Willingness to travel up to 75–80% and obtain relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote upgrades and troubleshooting of Motorola ASTRO systems.
• Assist with networking, cybersecurity, Active Directory administration, and LMR configurations.
• Maintain and document complex communications systems and provide weekly activity reports.
• Troubleshoot in IT-type environments including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with customers and Motorola teams across sales, engineering, and support.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 75–80% as needed.
