Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, is hiring a Field Technician to install services in residential and commercial properties, perform repairs, and relocate equipment. You will work in the field to keep customers connected and ensure service quality.

In this role, you’ll use RF, digital, and Volt-Ohm meters, troubleshoot issues, and advise customers on upgrades. A valid Texas driver’s license and a customer-service mindset are essential, with the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license in the applying state.
Ability to learn RF, digital and Volt-Ohm meters.
Willingness to work overtime and on-call.
Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
Able to work in small spaces, lift up to 100 lbs, climb a ladder, and work in all weather.
At least 3 months of customer service or related experience or training.
High school diploma or GED.
Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Connect our customers to what they love by installing customer service drops or outlets in both residential and business properties.
Troubleshoot with RF, digital and Volt-Ohm meters to fix service drops and address reception issues.
Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each customer termination.
Educate customers on equipment use and suggest upgrades.
Take on other duties to support our Brand Principles and company values.
