Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, is seeking Advancement Technicians to install, repair, and troubleshoot our telecom networks. You will engage in hands-on work across headend, HFC and fiber optic systems and provide world-class service to our customers.

This role offers a clear career path with training, requiring completion of the Advanced Technician course within 6 months and a valid driver’s license. Benefits include health plans, 401(k) matching, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or 3–4 years related experience.
• Must complete Sparklight Advanced Technician course within 6 months.
• Knowledgeable with signal test equipment and regulatory rules (FCC, NEC, NESC, OSHA, DOT).
• Valid driver's license and ability to work variable hours including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Install new customer services, repair equipment, and troubleshoot issues.
• Troubleshoot headend, HFC and fiber networks; repair customer-owned equipment.
• Read system maps, create as-built drawings, and estimate plant costs.
• Splice/terminate coax and fiber, activate devices, and test performance.
• Perform underground locates and respond to service interruptions as needed.
• Train other technical personnel as directed by management.
